Lisa Ornstein will be giving a 90-minute fiddle workshop on May 24th in Burlington, Vermont at the home of Carmen Bombardier (one of the daughters of fiddler Louis Beaudoin) from 2:30-4 pm.
It's a split shift between the Southern Appalachians (via tunes from the legendary Tommy Jarrell) and the French Northeast (via tunes from the rich repertory of Louis Beaudoin and Acadian fiddler Avila LeBlanc of the Magdelan Islands). Amazing tunes with turbo-charged bowings and variations, explained coherently and succinctly for your hands-on-playing pleasure.
